for chris: range rover YVB151H in english racing green
chris… this is the one you wanted! in the color you wanted…
this is one of the earliest series of range rover refered to as the YVB151H. as with most pure english breed cars, it is a beautiful fully balanced exterior design with a horrid electrical system and problematic motors. like the XJ6’s maybe an entire new engine could be place in the “bonet” but then expect to climb speed bumps, rather than mountains. by uh
hungry for fashion: the room may still be a bit too small
fashion is a tough one. it’s a bit like ballet, its better not done at all than done some-what ok. the room magazine is a fashion pub issued in hungry… now budapest is not exactly what you think of when you think of fashion, but i bet you there are few aspiring and driven people there who not only care about fashion but more than that are looking to do something different. that’s not bad. the problem is when what you do inherently looks like all others. as hard as it may be its best to go your own way to avoid comparisons, cause you’ll lose without the resources and readily available talent in major cities. the eniko cover and inner spreads by marton perlaki are quite nice… the inside is sporadically interesting but nothing new. its a start from a place that’s given us models and a great affordable playground to shoot and produce in. the room magazine website. by xy

discipline is so under rated
this picture reminded me of the film by bertrand normand on the the russian mariinsky theater (kirov). had to post it. by dd
monteverdi palm beach: 1974 maroon
another swiss masterpiece referring to the earlier posts on the monteverdi car designs. you can see the similarities between this and the 70’s aston martin, being considerably more expensive than the aston i’d be surprised if the inspiration wasn’t reverse. by dd

SEX, DRUGS AND SWINDLES: boogie woogie a peak at the cordial art world
a cast of characters (including a stint by charlotte rampling) devouring each other in a small world awash with big money. set against the backdrop of contemporary London and the international art scene, it casts an eye over the appetites and morality of some of its major players.’ saw the film finally tonight, and it’s a hilarious and observant film. if you have had any contact with the art world in anyway, you are bound to encounter a stereotype of one in here. a “must be considered” film to be sure. by dd
