and we thought the swiss just made time pieces! heres a beautiful vintage object of desire to just stare at. just love having that sitting on my desk for when my “patients” misbehave. there were only 2000 commercial and 3000 military models produced with walnut grip, and this fast taper barrel (4 3/4″ long). this one has the original holster just incase you plan to take it on the road. estimate price: $2500 – 3500 by xy

air france: making the sky the best place on earth
“the captain and his crew wish you a dazzling stop-over in paris.” well that is the latest installment of the air france print ads and as usual they are produced nicely at BETC in paris by cannes juror and creative director, florence bellisson. lets now hope that the passengers don’t get run over by a deux chevaux. by dd

i never knew the hairy side of fashion before james pecis, from d+v mgt, decided to let us in. as our favorite hair-master man, we’re happy he’s giving us a peek at his view of fashion month. s/s 2012 is brand-spanking-new, and you can see last season here. by kl
stalagmites & stalactites
a recent trip to the saatchi gallery in london sparked a little debate on which is which. quick answer: stalagmites grow from the ground up and stalactites drip from the ceiling down (hang tight). i’ll leave the interweb to tell you the rest. by kl

this hunky watch
some people are obsessed with the intricacies and delicacies of classically made timepieces. it’s true, time and the amazing machines that keep it are something to be admired, but there’s something about this rough and hunky watch that i just love… but i know nothing about it,,, anyone? any info for me so i can stalk it and make it my own. by kl
limited edition saris by hermes
finally hermes catches on to the wonders of a global vision. expanding one of their traditional signature pieces, the scarf, into a limited edition line of luxury traditional saris, ranging from $6,100 to $8,200 a piece. luxury brands are slowly finding their way to india, and hermes had opened their second store this fall in mumbai. but in contrast to other brands such as giorgio armani and ermenegildo zegna who are focusing on menswear, hermes turns to the woman. i like the idea of this, and even though from what i’ve see i think they could have gone a little more ‘hermes’ with the patterns, and even though i’m not indian, hopefully this isn’t a one time deal so i can get my own! by kl
