system-mag-1very happy to find out yesterday about thomas lenthal’s new editorial adventure since Paradis mag is definetly not around enough to quench our thirst . the crew around this project is quite exciting: beside mr lenthal (ex numero/paradis mag) is marie amelie sauve (ex balenciaga), elizabeth von guttman & alexia niedzielski (both industry mag) and jonathan winfield (ex numero)…

as it can be expected from this team, system is not another fashion mag but rather talking about the behind the scene of the industry which is great and definitely needed. so the first issue is out in may and is featuring the first interview post balenciaga of designer nicolas ghesquiere. more about it here. by pp.

…is an aphorism or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual, or more broadly, a text in hinduism or buddhism, literally meaning a thread or line that holds things together. it is also a current performance at sadler’s wells in london.  i very much envy those who have the opportunity to experience. inspired by the serenity of shaolin monks from china, choreographer sidi larbi cherkaoui decided to collaborate with them for an hour-long piece for the stage. by kl

Degage: a film by Homme starring simone kerr

dance is surely king and when ballet is incorporated it gets an extra star. like this little film by young australian director cale ‘good times’ mason and stylist sarah scaife starring lovely dancer simone kerr. nice color, nice edit, good moves. extra effort would be appreciated in story and maybe a better hair do… but what do i know about hair, you should look at mine. if you’re into ballet inspired clips here’s amelia and another dub davami from previous posts. by xy
