rust and bone – audiard

a bit overdue since it was out early last year in the rest of the world but only last month for us suckers here in the us, audiard’s rust and bone is a hell of a great movie. definitely a must be considered film, if not a must see. by pp.

Eastern Dub: Dub Davami by Mahmood Schricker featuring Namjoo

beautifully atmospheric; dreamy choreography and sound… i’m a big rhythm & sound fan and i can see the homage paid here.  however, the eastern vocals take this to a new stratosphere. if you are into minimal dub (rhythm & sound, basic channel, etc) and care to experiment with world music this is your ultimate answer, free download here.  sponsored by the ontario arts council. if you are into dance also check out this previous beautiful post. by kc

cozy with sarkozy

“let go of my hand, lets not make it so obvious”

the irony of it all still baffles me and yet it’s still business as usual, it’s just elsewhere.  we are very silly aren’t we? 50 million or not: “shortly after sarkozy’s election in 2007, gaddafi was invited to paris and pitched his bedouin-style tent in an official french residence near the elysée. sarkozy has acknowledged that his government had considered co-operation with libya in civil nuclear energy, having earlier denied it.” source by dd

amour

whether you are in love, want to be, once were, or never were…you should go see this film.  if you are a mortal human being, or perhaps a demi-god gracing the rest of us with your presence, you should also go see this film.  michael haneke, thank you. by sv
