remember this story from paola kudacki? by pp.
our dear friends at thereasfour really did it this time. i’m simply amazed at why these guys are not as huge as say, alexander mcqueen? the designs are incredibly structural and detailed; they translate fractal geometry into intricate fabrics. i must say, this is my favorite collection from them to date and they seem to get better and better. i wish i could wear some of these dresses myself! the beautiful music is by mike stroud / RATATAT, cinematography by brian gonzalez and 3D animation and visual effects editing by alex czetwertynski. a nice package overall, great work guys. by dd
bettie mae page, the world’s most famous pinup at a not-so-great moment in her life. page went from playboy centerfold to evangelical christian, and sustained her share of ups and downs as we all do. i prefer the bang-adorning leopard-bikini wearing bettie, but for the sake of tradition, here she is mugging in hialeah, florida. by sv

this is a lovely short film, directed by photographer-turned-director karen collins for vs magazine’s latest issue featuring model helena christensen and her counterpart matt clunan. we’ve gathered that the film is about a cat that eventually, got out of the bag. thus, unleashing a pandora’s box effect that reduced helena into a miniature figurine inside a jil sander bag, where–voila! she meets handsome matt. it’s in this magical entity that they find each other under a table and exchange notes. in all seriousness, we love the open-ended story, and as experts on women’s behavior we know how “every woman alive” not only wears chanel no. 5, but can also relate to the love triangle unleashed here. sometimes your competition is non-other than yourself, as elegantly reenacted here by the inimitable danish goddess, helena christensen…

how do you hold yours? once upon a time, i was a mix of a c and an e, with a bit more of a dainty finish. by sv
theodore geisel (the one and only dr. seuss) was a man of oh so many talents. aside from his background in advertising that helped compartmentalize platforms for the greatest children’s literature ever penned, ted was a phenomenal painter and illustrator. he did not consider himself such, only working on this hobby after midnight. you can see more of his hobby here, and read lovely blurbs by another children’s literature genius, maurice sendak. this painting, known as the ‘pink tufted small beast in a night landscape’ was done by seuss in 1960. it exemplifies traces we’ve seen in the lorax, not to mention escher’s relativity. by sv
