enormous champions tea towels

these hand printed towels by enormous champion (brooklyn, new york) are super cute. got two for my little 4 year old loves. made in the USA on 100% belgian linen. the linens are a lovely shade of natural “oyster”, and silkscreened with a warm grey ink. they look just as good, used as hand towel, or simply framed. $25 each… a bit steep but worth it to me. thanx pp. by xy

Mohawk Shop general store: silver lake – los angeles

our friends at mohawk have moved to their new location and the store is open for business. four times the original size and packed with all the goods you’d expect of mister kevin carney: engineered garments, woolrich, gitman bros. vintage, clare vivier, rachel comey, hill-side, baxter, tanner goods, generic man, generic surplus, jielde lamps, and coming in the weeks ahead their legacy, yuketan, APC, and cire trudon candles. stop by if you’re in the hood. by dd

bouroullec’s brother – galerie kreo

i was in paris not so long ago ( it actually feels like ages now) and as always when there, galerie kreo is a stop you can’t miss. the bouroullec brother’s were on view there and their lights and shelf were amazing. the lamps are all made out of leather, done in such a refined way you would think any luxury bag is crap next to it. the shelf are nice too but less impressive, just an eye candy

fabien baron – summer house in sweden

recently came over few pics of mister baron’s summer house in sweden in recently released taschen’s “interiors now”. i was struck by those images, wondering if someone really lives like that? i mean having a pristine house is something everyone dreams about. but then living in one is something else…
in the actual book is a picture i couldn’t find for this post where you see the living room of the house that features the only object out… the balenciaga book designed by baron himself… by pp’

simon hasan – boiled leather

i’m currently into designer simon hasan’s work. using a medieval technique called something like “boiled leather”, he’s really proposing an interesting alternative to the boring space/hi-tech style that designers seem to have difficulties to move away from…
if you have a chance, check the hand-made issue of wallpaper magazine that features a story on him re-doing a poltrona frau seat his way, super interesting (as is this all issue) by pp’

PURPLE NIGHT

i would personally never buy a magazine featuring mister zahm’s night accomplishments but i have to admit that their art director (gianni oprandi) is really on top of it as usual! by pp’

starck+intersection magazine

saw the starck+intersection mag concept car in the window of colette last night. that is a really nice piece actually. maybe starck should stick to this kind of project since not far away from there is another one of his production, the hotel meurice and believe me, the soap car is definitely on top! by pp’

jerszy seymour – design workshop

just saw one of those chairs by designer jerszy seymour at palais de tokyo. as you might guess the designer is living in berlin and even if this kind of work is not really my cup of tea, i though it was really really interesting! maybe design is getting less consensual after all or maybe people living in berlin are just so out of an hardcore capitalist reality that they are catching a glimpse of truth. by pp’
