thierry lasry eye glasses: frame design by ketevane maissaia
ketevane maissaia is a young eyewear designer who won the IFM (french institute of fashion) prize in 2010. the IFM is a competition which allows young design students to see their creations made in association with big houses (YSL, dior, prada, etc). it’s a hell of a spectacle, ,but i like it… this unisex eyewear has been made in partnership with thierry lasry brand, and is available in black, white and red options. may we recommend the black… its loud enough as is. by dd
arnold goron – isabel marant
i was always wondering who was doing isabel marant’s windows. they’re so great all the time, it’s almost a sculpture and actually it is since french artist arnold goron is making them. it’s great when people with visibility do unexpected things. by pp.
paper furniture by studio job
“paper, cardboard and papier-mâché are familiar to all of us. they bring back memories of kindergarten and our first experiences of making things. inspired by classic icons but manufactured like modern day furniture, this furniture collection is an ode to classical style and to the material.” what a great concept- find it at moooi. by m+m

MIRROR MIRROR
i saw this gorgeous mirror designed by jacques adnet and wanted one, then i read a little bit about it and wanted it even more.
in 1950, adnet formed a partnership with the french fashion house, hermes, where he developed a collection of leather-covered furniture and interior accessories, including a distinctive leather mirror with brass hinges. besides the remarkable leather and brass details, the adnet mirror is also unique as the strap that holds the mirror is in direct proportion to the dimension of the mirror.
