one of their earlier projects and our favorite one is the type design project to create “times new NEW roman” which is the same as times new roman but 10% wider. so when you write your college essay your 8 pages will result in 10 pages. nice cheat!!

turbo tax but more fun. tax heaven 3000 was a spoof tax software designed by mschf where the anime girl will walk you through questions, some quite personal, such as your social security number and in the end help you calculate your taxes. about 200 were created. genuine art project.

this “nike, drop of blood in the sole, lil nas satan shoe” project was the first time we ever heard about mschf… back then it smelled like marketing and we paid little heed… but was it marketing?

vans shoes sues mschf for its wavy baby sneakers. not really buying this lawsuit – but we guess you gotta keep the magic under lock and key for it to work.

“the best, for the most, for the least”– as charles eames would say… now lets see if this fits the bill? born in brooklyn, made in italy (we are told). they do give common projects and the others a good run for their money at under $200 a pair. leather interior, simple lines, clever double stitching, and yet this royale (and royale court high) model(s), being the simplest of the footwear line,  still have a bit of fat to trim… the rest of the line is not to our taste, maybe the hirsh could work, we love the heel detail, if it was not for that complicated sole. judge yourself, wed love to test drive one and write about the feel… worth a look for all you post-normcores. by ac

i am personally quite pleased with my british made armstrong 3 speed bike sporting a brown leather brooks seat, a black lacquered bell ring and metal basket. but for a few dollars more you could perhaps go for the french made les cycles victoire berluti edition (available now). and while you are at it, you may want to also pick up the pair of shoes berluti created specifically to go with this bike. after that, if you have any change left, you could then stop off for a cup of new york’s finest 50 cent coffee to complete your look and regain your sense of dignity. just be sure not to park it anywhere near the 5 boroughs. a great bike to store in your loft, but not very practical for the streets. we’re having trouble retaining our $300 brooks seat with out having to chain it down. one could just imagine the vultures descending on this piece of steel and leather ars. that aside it is a beautiful piece of chivalry. by dd

we got your “designer high tops” right here (by the way its terms like this that makes us puke at design in general). but we do like this one. tim coppens latest digs for common projects riffs on the CPs signature tournament style. they’re made from slick navy leather, have black arch panels, and are lined in soft beige leather you see on the back. $611 and available at matches fashion dot com.
