“blue on blue, one stroke at a time”
perhaps if stuck in dreary new york for the winter like me you are yearning for the warmth of a more divine atmosphere, but the contused colors and seasonal diversity of these photos by jason lucas are sustaining my equilibrium. by sv

tim walker – story teller
tim walker is an anomaly in the fashion world. he maintains a raw and naive feel to bring personal connection to his images sprouting from childhood tendencies he never grew out of. he creates a mood of dream and reality at the same time. he emits innocence and darkness simultaneously. he does things his way, and that’s why he is different from those who shoot primarily for someone else, he shoots for himself, and he wants to play. i saw this show at somerset house and it’s really great, if you’re in london please go! apologies for the late post as there are only 2 more days left, but make the time if possible, it shows a wonderful balance of his work mingling along with actual props and set pieces built, so you feel as though you are finally entering his private world. gotta love a dreamer. by kl

burning man
when looking back at this years past events in the world there is one image that is etched permanently into my retinas. it’s the image of jamphel yeshi, a 27 year old exhile from tibet, who set himself on fire to protest a visit from the chinese president to india. I can’t be the only one, as several artist have been inspired or payed tribute to him. by wn
