lame lame lame… lady gaga for supreme
now why would you do that? lame on you man… why would a great brand like supreme, which we all love team up with biggest and most successful pop loser this side of mississippi? this is what scientist would call a genetic disaster of crossbreading brands… a donkey with cheetah. the offspring is bound to be slow and chromosomally deficient… even if geneticist involved happens to be dr. terry richardson. take it off or we’re never standing in that stupid line of yours. by xy
Vans DQM meet TS
i’m sure there will be more to come from this collaboration posted on ts so let me take this time to introduce an east meets west tale: Vans DQM. vans teamed with independently owned nyc skate staple chris keeffe and dqm to bring us the best of both worlds. i’m not a huge fan of the ever growing popularity and need for every brand to have a “boutique-esk” store especially skate/snow/surf brands but i get it. especially if you are trying to have your store downtown; high rents = less products in store with higher almost unreasonable prices for young skaters probably not making that much to begin with (who lets remember, are the real heart and soul of the sport). but, this is the nature of the beast these days. i’m not saying the store isn’t core or doesn’t have a very nice decor and layout because it is and does, i’m just sayyyin. by jr
this winter, Something new…
as i look forward to this snowboarding season (maybe one day they’ll add a category for the cold weather freaks one day) i also look forward to seeing this new sport picking up in the industry and on the streeeets! by jr

supreme: snow white decks
instrument: 10 years with fugazi a film by jem cohen
the film covers the band from 1987-1996. the project mixes sync-sound, 16mm, super-8 video and a wide range of archival formats. a must-see for any one who looked at a skateboard in the 90’s but couldn’t afford one. you can purchase the dvd here for $16, now that you can afford. by xy
Wugazi: 13 chambers
wu-tang clan meets fugazi out of minneapolis. a labor of love by cecil otter & swiss andy. love the blurb promotion stating “a must listen for anyone who even looked at a skateboard in the 90’s”. not quite my cup of tea, i wasn’t even born in the 90’s but give a listen. you never know old boy. by dd
