the artist: by hollywood films

somebody had to do it… i personally was expecting some “artist” to do it and call the film “hollywood” but instead, “hollywood” did it and called it “the artist”… haven’t seen the silent film but who wouldn’t want to sit in some hollywood film and see the actors shut the f@#k up for once. i’m so sold… by dd

Martin Luther King Junior: you’re only dead if no one talks of you

terrorism is nothing new

what a shame. what kind of a man could bring himself to shoot a man who preaches non-violence? its hard to accept… even today. though i was never a fan of all the religious sermons, i do understand that they had a place, despite that, he was a courageous and a great man. they simply don’t make ’em like that anymore…we’re all now too busy talkin’ about bitches n’ hoes…

and so it goes… on march 29, 1968, king went to memphis tennessee, his flight to memphis had been delayed by a bomb threat against his plane. in the close of the last speech of his career, in reference to the bomb threat, king said the following: “some began to say the threats, or talk about the threats that were out. what would happen to me from some of our sick white brothers? … we’ve got some difficult days ahead. but it doesn’t matter with me now. because i’ve been to the mountaintop. and i don’t mind. like anybody, i would like to live a long life. longevity has its place. but i’m not concerned about that now…” by dd
